Could it be?
Many know of Canadian singer Justin Bieber‘s manager Scooter Braun as being a fan of YG Entertainment‘s artists after taking on the American representation for PSY. Well it seems that Scooter isn’t the only YG Family fanboy. Earlier this morning Justin took to his Twitter to talk about his upcoming Believe Tour stop in Korea. The young singer excitedly tweeted:
excited to get to Korea to perform on October 10th. Maybe u will see my guys @psy_oppa and @IBGDRGN. Get the bbq ready. #BELIEVETOUR
Now this may only mean that PSY and BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon will only be guest performers for Bieber’s tour. But while some V.I.Ps and Beliebers met this announcement with great excitement, many others met the statement with mixed feelings. While expressing that they were not too fond of Bieber, they acknowledged this as a good publicity opportunity for GD. However, some of the Beliebers tweeted things like,
@justinbieber @psy_oppa @IBGDRGN thank God I don’t live in Korea, @justinbieber you just want money, @justinbieber @psy_oppa @IBGDRGN it’s a no from 44M people, @justinbieber @psy_oppa @IBGDRGN PSY IS STILL ALIVE??
Most of the anti-Hallyu sentiment was geared towards PSY specifically. It still struck a nerve with many K-Pop fans. Hopefully until an official statement is released from either YG Entertainment or Scooter Braun, Justin can talk to his fans about being respectful of others, especially labelmates.
