| Ha Ji Won cast as empress in new MBC drama ‘Hwatu’ Posted: 14 May 2013 07:00 AM PDT  Actress Ha Ji Won is coming back as an empress in the upcoming MBC drama 'Hwatu'. According to MBC, Ha Ji Won has been confirmed to star in the drama 'Hwatu', which is going to air in the second half of this year. 'Hwatu' is a historical drama that describes loves and conflicts in the life of the real Empress Ki. Ha Ji Won will be playing the role of Empress Ki, who is a real historical figure. She is an attractive and wise empress of Goryeo, who has a powerful influence over the Yuan Dynasty of Genghis Khan. She held onto her pride in a foreign land and she is also the first woman in Korean history to have fulfilled destined love and ideal political views. 'Hwatu' marks Ha Ji Won's drama comeback a year after 'The King, Two Hearts', which ended in May 2012. The drama is written by Jang Young Chul and Jung Kyung Soon, who also wrote 'Giant' and 'History of the Salaryman', and directed by Han Heui who directed 'Dr. JIN' and 'Over the Rainbow'. |
| Girls’ Generation’s Yuri to make big screen debut with ‘No Breathing’ Posted: 14 May 2013 06:30 AM PDT  Girls' Generation's Yuri will be making her full-fledged debut on the big screen. Yuri has been cast as the lead female role for the upcoming film 'No Breathing', alongside Seo In Guk and Lee Jong Suk. Actress Kang Sora was also considered for the role, but Yuri was chosen for the spot, who first showcased her acting skills in the drama 'Fashion King'. 'No Breathing' is written by screen writer Yoo Young Ah, who is also behind several hit films including 'Korea', 'The Tower', 'My Pavarotti' and 'Miracle in Cell No.7'. It will be a youth sports drama about the competition and love between swimmers. Filming is scheduled to begin this month. |

On May 13th, Shinhwa, who's currently gearing up for a comeback, appeared on KBS 2TV 'Hello' as special guests. In the show, Shin Dong Yup said, "I recently filmed skits with Shinhwa on 'SNL Korea' and Hyesung had a lot of perverted ideas. I was really surprised. He's just like me." Jun Jin jokingly agreed and said, "He is our idea bank." MC Jung Chan Woo added, "I never seen Shin Dong Yup greet someone so happily." |

| Son Ye Jin’s drama ‘Shark’ releases second trailer Posted: 14 May 2013 03:40 AM PDT  Son Ye Jin and Kim Nam Gil's comeback drama 'Shark' has released its second teaser! KBS has released another trailer for the drama, and while the first trailer focused mainly on Kim Nam Gil, the second trailer features female lead Son Ye Jin. In the video, Son Ye Jin is walking along the seashore, wearing a wedding dress. A scene of spending a happy time with Kim Nam Gil in the past suddenly changes to the scene of an accident, creating the opposite mood. | 2PM to have Asia Tour grand finale in Seoul Posted: 14 May 2013 12:00 AM PDT  2PM will finally be closing the curtains to its Asia Tour with a grand finale show in Seoul. Starting from November last year, 2PM has been having live concert tour in different countries around the Asia. The group kicked off their '2PM LIVE TOUR - What Time Is It' concert in Shanghai, China, and they will be having their finale show on June 21st and 22nd in Seoul. Since November, 2PM toured around Shanghai, Jakarta, Taipei, Macao, Manila, Guangzhou, and Bangkok. They went around seven cities and met up with over 60,000 fans in total. For the '2PM LIVE TOUR in SEOUL – The Grand Finale', 2PM will be showing upgraded performances as a return to fans' amazing love and supports for them. Especially, they will be adding new songs to their repertoire, and also perform songs that they wrote themselves from comeback album 'GROWN'. |

Similar with their previously-released posters for "Come Back When You Hear This Song", the six charismatic boys are seen in classy suits as they stand on the roof of a building. 'Grown' includes 12 songs including the two title tracks "Come Back When You Hear This Song" and "All Day I Think about You." 2PM members participated in the album, with 2 songs composed by Jun K, Junho co-composed and co-wrote 3 songs, Taecyeon wrote rap parts for 6 songs, and Chansung wrote one. | SHINee teaches fans the “Why So Serious?” choreography Posted: 13 May 2013 09:05 PM PDT  SHINee, who is back with the most powerful performance and charisma ever, has just released a dance tutorial video for their latest track, "Why So Serious?". On May 13th, Loen Entertainment released the next installment of 'Let's Dance', this time featuring the boys of SHINee. Step by step, they showed the three main points of the choreography including the 'zombie', 'engine' and 'beatle' dance. The dance moves were designed by top-class choreographer Devin Jamieson who have worked with Super Junior, Michael Jackson, Usher, Britney Spears and Hillary Duff. Check out the tutorial below. |
