Psy has hit another milestone. His Gangnam Style is nominated for Univision‘s Premios Juventud 2013 in the new Music category – “Favorite Hit, non-Spanish.”
The other nominees in the category are: Diamonds by Rihanna, Feel This Moment by Pitbull (Ft. Christina Aguilera), Locked Out Of Heaven by Bruno Mars, and When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars.
For those who don’t know, Premios Juventud are pretty much won by fan votes, rather like the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Hang Geng won for Favorite Asian Act category this year where he beat Psy, Sarah Geronimo from the Philippines and Malaysia’s Shila Amzah.
This is the first year Premios Juventud include 2 non-Spanish music category (Favorite Hitmaker and Favorite Hit). Also, Premios Juventud are known for awarding deserving young Hispanics with scholarships to further their studies. So, it’s all for a good cause.
