“Monster Rookie” Lee Hi recently showed interest in writing music by saying, “I want to learn how to write and compose so I can write my own music.”
On May 12, Lee Hi held her first solo concert “Lee Hi Secret Live RE:HI,” during which she looked back on her past and shared it with her audience.
When asked about her future dreams, she answered, “I want to learn how to write and compose music so I can write a song for myself and show it to you all. I hope a chance to show you that will come soon.”
During the concert, Lee Hi performed her smash hits such as her debut single, “1, 2, 3, 4,” “It’s Over,” “Rose,” “First Love,” “Dream,” “I’m Strange,” and many other tracks that she hadn’t performed on air before.
Lee Hi also performed many jazz and acoustic versions of her songs such as “Whistle,” which she collaborated with Lee Moon Sae. She explained that “Whistle” was a track that Yang Hyun Suk especially recommended. She also added, “I respect senior Lee Moon Sae a lot and it’s my honor to sing this song.”
Lee Hi also performed many covers by famous artists such as Yim Jae Bum’s “For You,” Duffy‘s “Mercy,” and Roberta Flack‘s “Killing Me Softly With His Song.”
Lee Hi ended her concert by saying, “I really thank my fans and I will become a Lee Hii who works even harder in the future. Thank you!”
